TestimonialsHere are what current and past students think about Jessica's teaching style:

I have known Jessica for many years, and she not only plays the violin and piano excellently, but is also a highly skilled and competent teacher. She was patient and encouraging to me and with great enthusiasm supported me in learning the violin.

I had the privilege of learning under Mrs. Wood in Violin and Piano. I improved greatly as her student. She was very kind, easy and fun to work with!

        - Isaac H. Age 16.

We have been really blessed by Jessica’s knowledge and sweet teaching style these past three years. She continues to teach on the skill level my daughter is ready for and willing to encourage her natural abilities, even when that means more advanced lessons and deviating from a book. We have moved out of state and love Jessica and her teaching style so much that we continue via video lessons. While there are more local options available, we will do what it takes to stay with Jessica.

At the tender age of 62, I decided to learn both how to read music and play the violin. Jessica was there as my music teacher to help me with both. Her knowledge, and ability to teach and show me things on both the violin and piano helped me tremendously. She provided a great foundation that got me off on the right foot.

Now at 65 I am still going strong and loving it. I am greatly appreicative of her teaching me for the first 1 1/2 years. It was a sad day when I learned she and her husband were needing to move out of state for his job. (I taught Kurt at the Lexington School of Music in South Carolina prior to my move to Pennsylvania - Jessica Wood)

My daughter had the pleasure of studying piano under Mrs. Wood for three years and it was a wonderful experience. Her confidence developed under Mrs. Wood's instruction and grew from having no experience to comfortably playing songs in front of a group. I would highly recommend her as an instructor!
